We had a video of the NES Emulator on the site a couple days ago and we thought we were doing a disservice to all of our daily readers if we did not show you how to run/install the PS3 Filer v0.0.3 with NES Emulation onto your Playstation 3.
Installation:
PlayStation3 homebrew seems to be picking up some tempo. A Japanese coder recently released a NES emulator for the console using BD-J. Aside from being an emulator, the program also acts as a filer that displays certain kinds of images (PNG, GIF, JPG).

Okay, so a lot of PSP users have probably upgraded to CFW 4.01 M33 by now. If you've upgraded and you like pimping your PSP out with custom themes, don't worry. Poisonhzkj has released a new version of CXMB that officially includes 4.01 M33 support.
Apart from 4.01 M33 compatibility, CXMB 3.2 also includes the following improvements over the previous version:
Select the random.ctf, then cxmb will randomly apply your themes in /PSP/THEME/
Compile universal binary, cxmb.prx should work on 3.71/3.80/3.90/4.01
Fix some wrong io operation (I wrote some sceIoClose where there should be sceIoDclose)
Clean up sources
Now, you may already have Miriam's 4.01 M33-compatible CXMB mod. According to poisonhzkj, that particular mod used a wrong hex edit (0xDEAD0400 instead of 0xDEAD0401), so you won't be able to use any themes you made using that version in CXMB 3.2unless you hex edit it at offset 0x10.

StreetskaterFU has published a second video of his PS3 backups hack to proof us all that it works. "Proof works online and showing inserted disk is motorstorm as proxy disc. When i eject disc, game quits like normal.", StreetSkaterFU said. The hack has been confirmed working by Mathieulh and Alek from the M33-team.
PS3-Sense writes "Yesterday on the forums of PS3Hax a topic was posted with alot of information about loading backups on a PlayStation 3. A german hacker called StreetSkaterFU succeeded in loading backups on his PS3."
A certain jube808 has launched a quixotic quest to add a myriad of features to the PSP that he believes should've been there from the start, including beefed up battery life, a better control pad, and touchscreen support. Think what you will of his aims, he certainly seems to have some hardware chops, as he's got a touchscreen up and running on the handheld. So far he's just got a proof of concept keyboard, which works with a finger or a stylus, but the hope is to provide full touchscreen support for homebrew gaming. Let us know how that goes, jube. We can't in good conscience recommend trying this one at home for sake of your own sanity, but one enterprising PS3 enthusiast has thankfully gone the extra mile and installed Windows Vista on the console so you don't have to. As you might have guessed, however, it's not a pretty sight, with the OS running under emulation and requiring nearly 25 minutes to fully boot up. You can also add an extra five minutes and thirty seconds on top of that to load the start menu, and about twelve minutes to load up that most demanding of applications: Notepad.

Console modders out there have been doing crazy things with controllers for a while now, and while this latest piece isn't as crazy as the one-handed Access Controller, it's still good for a double-take -- check out this wired 360 controller shoehorned into a DualShock3 shell, complete with green LEDs. THe modder, RDC, says it works great, rumble included, but that there's no headset connector and the L2 and R2 triggers aren't analog -- both things he's hoping to fix in the next version. We'd suggest keeping the DS3 buttons as well -- while the colorful 360 buttons look pretty hot against that black case, we'd rather break this thing out and blow minds stealth-style.

Instructions
# Download the pack Ready To Use, available HERE.
# Extract the file (Winrar is recommended). You should get a directory known "AVCHD", place it at the root of a USB or memory card.
# Turn on your console.
# Connect your device on the PS3.
# Go now in the menu [video] in the XMB.
# Select your device, then [AVCHD], a small load and you can hop on the game!
Controls:
The left stick allows you to control the "racket" on the left.
The keys "Square" and "Cross" you will respectively go up and down the racket to the right of the screen.
Note: Note that playing two on a single joystick is really not practical, so you can connect a second controller to more easily. Put yourself well agreed on the side that each player will take because each controller can monitor the two racquets, we're counting on you to not take advantage of the situation to win the point without any merit!
PS3Gen
Unload full clips on them busters at an alarming rate with Console Customs Sixaxis and Dualshock 3 controller mod. The tutorial details the necessary steps for old & new [controller] PCB layouts.
Required tools:
Soldering iron (a cheap 15w/30w from radio shack; about $15)
Solder (use rosin core solder from radio shack so there is no need for flux)
Wire strippers (that can strip 30ga wire, a 30ga wire wrap tool from radio shack includes a 30ga stripper $8)
Wire cutters
Hot glue gun
3/16 drill bit (or close to it)
Small pocket knife or razor blade (optional but helpful)
Be warned: using this mod while gaming online is considered cheating; don’t be stupid, play fair.

This method only works on ALL PS3's that are capable of playing PS2 games (20/60gb SKU's), and upto firmware 2.40. This does NOT work with NTSC systems.
[UPDATE]: We have reports that this method does work on 20/60gb NTSC SKU's that are running on firmware 2.10 (Anything above not tested as of now).

Step 1
Download This .zip file :: Swap Magic Emulator Files
And extract its contents into the root of your USB Memory Stick.
Thats the easy bit Done
Step 2
Put your new USB Memory Stick with the files on into your ps3
Insert the Swap Magic Disc and click the ps2 disc icon when it appears
Swap Magic Will now load ... you will have to press your PS button to use control pad again here.
Step 3
Now press R1 + Up on the Dpad simultaneously and a menu should appear.
Press any direction on the Dpad and then O to enter Config.
Press O again at default and then in the new list go down to 'MISC/' and press O
Go down one to 'FileBrowser' and yes press O again
Now the old config menu should appear go down to 'Ok' and press O
Step 4
At this point you have to make sure 'FileBrowser' text is gray by using Dpad directions and press O when it is gray.
Here go down to 'MASS:/' the go down to 'USBD.IRX' and press R1 and then 'Copy' (press) O
Press Triangle to go back
Now go to 'mc0:/' and press O
Press R1 and then go down to 'New Dir' and press O
Name the new directory as follows
All American NTSC consoles - BADATA-SYSTEM
All PAL consoles - BEDATA-SYSTEM
All Japanese consoles - BIDATA-SYSTEM

Enter the BEDATA-SYSTEM directory now and press R1 again then paste the USBD.IRX file there by chosing 'Paste' in the box
Press Triangle twice and then the PS Button and 'Quite Game'
Thats the hard bit over, its all plain sailing for now
Step 5
Now start Swap Magic Again
This time hold up on the dpad and then press L1
This will bring up the choice of emulators Pgen and Snes Station
Choose the one you want by pressing X
There you have it its all done !! :D
All You have to do now is get sume roms for the emulators :D :D
To answer most peoples question :: No you dont have to do the whole proccess each time you want to run the emulators, just connect the USB Memory Stick and go from Step 5
